Nigerian rapper, Vector has said that Afrobeats superstar, Wizkid should not be the only one getting heat because he said rap is dead and the genre is underappreciated.
He said a good rapper is not judged by how much he makes or whether he is successful, rather, it is because he has the lyrical skills to tell a story.
Vector who was speaking in an interview on Hip TV however said that it is disrespectful to talk down on another person’s life or career if you do not fully comprehend what it’s all about or if one cannot relate.
According to him, someone who is a pop star would see the rap game in Nigeria as being comatose and it’s all about perspective.
He also said everybody is guilty of not supporting rap enough and he found it weird that people were expecting him and other rappers to diss Wizkid even when they do not appreciate Hip Hop as much as Afrobeats.
"Everybody is guilty in that conversation, don't throw it on Wizkid"
