Super talented Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has replied to those criticizing her accent.
In a video she shared on social media, the wife of Adekunle Gold and mother of one revealed that she has been repeatedly mocked by trolls who accuse her of faking her accent.
Replying to her critics, Simi made it clear that she has no reason to fake her accent, as she’s not bothered by the opinions of others when it comes to how she speaks.
“Let me tell you something that gets on my nerves; when some motherf*ckers come on here saying I’m forming ascent. Do I really seem like the kind of person that will care about how anybody feels about how I talk? like I sit down and I plan, this is how we are going to use this ascent today? I don’t give a f*ck. Do I sound like I’m struggling when I’m talking?” She said.
Also, Simi added that she finds the insinuations amusing and advised those who don’t like her accent to stay away from her social media pages.
