Award-winning singer, Wizkid has spoken on how he feels about the young fast-rising musicians in the industry.
He said that he finds it interesting whenever he hears promising acts making good music and introducing fresh sounds.
Singers like Asake, Bella Shmurda, Fireboy DML, are some of the young musicians dominating the music scene.
According to the Starboy, hearing them sing reminds him of his younger self when he was just starting.
He said; âEvery time I hear a new, young artist in Nigeria making good music or doing something fresh, it sort of reminds me of myself back when I first started.â
Big Wiz further said that he loves music so much because it keeps him going. He added that there is nothing he loves more than music.
He also talked about how the African music industry is filled with talented artistes, songwriters, producer that will shake the world. He as well noted that he does not think he will ever get tired of the path he chose for himself.
Wizkid said; âThe music keeps me going, honestly. There isnât anything I love more than making music. I donât think Iâll ever get tired of doing it. Iâve been doing this for years. Traveling the world, doing shows, shoots, appearances, everything. So, Iâm used to it.â
âThere are so many incredible musicians, artists, producers, engineers, instrumentalists from Africa. We have it all with world class talent and drive. There is going to be more music from Africa thatâs going to make big waves around the worldâ.
